On average, more than 25,000 civil cases are filed each year in the four federal Districts in California. These cases often include disputes in which at least one party's counsel is not located here, and in which it is imperative that a party find "local counsel" who can help it and its out-of-state attorneys navigate their way through an unfamiliar court system.
